Wooden Bath

Another one of those ‘I’ll make one moments’!! 

Baths are usually somewhat uncomfortable. If made from metal they cool down very quickly. They are hard and unforgiving. I wanted to make sure if I made a bath it was none of those things. What could be difficult about making a bath; nothing. Get some ply, shape it, laminate it, sand it, seal it. Oh yeah!!! It happened in that order and apart from learning a whole lot about boat building in reverse, how to ‘successfully’ mould, shape and laminate wood it was a breeze. 

It just took eight months to do. 

Each and every piece had to be shaped, placed, pulled out, reshaped, glued into place a number of times. I certainly learnt about patience.
